Coach Pitch

Coach Pitch is divided between 3 divisions, Rookie A, AA and AAA. Coach pitch rookie A is a 6U division, rookie AA and AAA are a 7U division. In these divisions the coach pitches to the players from 28 feet, either from a knee or standing. In these divisions they play “outs”, the score is kept and there are winners and losers competing to play in the end of season bracket (the top 6 teams advance to that bracket). In rookie A and AA everyone bats every inning and everyone plays in the field. In rookie AAA it is a 10 man field (4 in the outfield). For a full list of rules and regulations for coach pitch please refer to the Eastvalley Baseball website at www.eastvalleybaseball.net.

As a peaches player entering into these divisions, you can expect fair rotation between all infield and outfield positions. Coaches try to put girls in positions where they feel they will have the most success while helping their team win games at the same time. Players effort and attitude, as well as their safety will also dictate where a player may or may not play for certain games. These divisions will have at least 1 practice (most likely 2) throughout the week with games being played on Saturdays. Rookie AAA may have some Friday night games.
